We all knew this post was going to happen one way or another right? So let’s get to it. In one of my previous posts, I talked about what I’d usually bring for weekend trips in and out of Manila. This time, we talk about the everyday essentials. These are the usual contents of my backpack too.
MacBook Pro 15” - Can’t live without this machine. This is my office right here.
iPad - If my MacBook Pro is my office, then this here is my mini office.
Supreme Flashlight - Very useful when I’m on production.
iPhone 4 w/ Most High co. “Swerve Case”
Business Cards - Only started carrying them for last years film festivals. Only then did I realize how crucial they are.
Most High co. Stickers - You never know.
Supreme Dogs & Ducks
Juxtapoz Magazine - I’d usually be catching up on old issues while on long train rides or breaks.
That’s basically it. The backpack I’m currently using is the backpack from The No. 60, a local brand in Manila that has really nice bags. Go check them out. Anyways, I’m back in Singapore and I haven’t been posting much because of school and because the Most High co. summer collection is in the works. More update soon!
I’m flying back home to Manila for the weekend to take a short break from school here in Singapore and to run a few errands myself for Most High co.
I’ve been travelling around the world even since I was a kid and one thing I’ve learned from all that is the art of packing light. More often than not, my usual trip would require me to leave for Manila on a Friday, then head back home on Sunday. Since extra baggage allowance would cost a lot more, it’s crucial that I bring only the essentials. These are mine.
Nike Air Max 90 Hufquake: I’m an Air Max guy and these right here are my grails. Been looking for them for the longest time. Had to buy it as soon as I found one that was deadstock. They look so good they deserve another view.
Dry Pique Polos (UNIQLO) - It’s comfortable, fits well and it’s good looking. It’s not as thick as it looks which makes it perfect for Manila weather. Under that stack I got a few plain white shirts.
Oxford Shirts (UNIQLO) - People who know me know how much I love UNIQLO’s Oxford shirts. They’re simple and sleek. You can wear them with anything.
Twill Shorts (UNIQLO) - I initially copped a pair because it was cheap. I got home and tried it and it looked really good so I got all 3 colors: Khaki, Olive, Navy (not pictured). Perfect for walking around.
Camp Cap (OBEY) - I like my head covered.
Camp Cap (Supreme) - ^
This should all fit into a nice duffle bag and shouldn’t weigh more than 8kg. I usually just hand carry it if possible. Along with this, I bring along a backpack with the everyday essentials. But that’s another post.
Looking forward to going home and spending time with the family and all. Also excited to get the next release out. It’s gonna keep getting better. You know it.
Quick hang out/meeting at the Reyes residence to discuss some delivery matters down here in the south side. We’re cooking up a little something for you guys to be released sometime August. Watch out for that. Some late night snacks were necessary of course.
Meet our boy Rico. He runs major deliveries and some logistics around the south side. If you’re doing a pickup at Festival Mall or McDonald’s near BF, he’s most likely the one running it. Those boxers tho.
Meet Paulo. He runs some logistics and makes sure everything happens on time and that everyone gets their delivery as soon as possible. If there’s anything wrong with quality or anything at all, it’s most likely his fault.
Started the day with off with an early morning meeting. Getting up was probably the hardest thing we had to do today. It was a cold, breezy morning, but we had a lot to get done.
It’s a lot easier when you have a great team behind you. Speaking of, we’re looking for someone who can work with us on a per-project basis. We need an extra hand running logistics back and forth while helping out with quality control. It would be great if you have a background in graphic design and live somewhere near Alabang and stuff. Leave us a message at firstname.lastname@example.org if you’re interested.
Spent time looking at some material for some future releases. Pretty dope stuff coming up for real.
As we’re getting ready for another drop within the week, we thought we’d take time and look back at the first month we had here at Most High Co. It’s been a pretty busy month here and we’re grateful that it’s going well and we’re hoping that it will only get better. We will continue to create and share as we go by. Expect a lot more from us.
We’d also like to thank our crew for helping out big time. You guys know who you are. To those who were with us from the start, thank you.
Greater things are yet to come. This is just the beginning.
